The aim of this proposal is to study and develop a method to reconstruct incrementally a generic environment.
The technology that must be used is a 3D time of flight camera.
The data produced by this sensor are a grey scale infrared image and a 3d depth map (xyz).
The topics that should be covered are the developing of a working algorithm, the accuracy of the reconstruction, comparing the results with ones made with Microsoft Kinect, and to test the developed code in outdoor environment under different lighting conditions.
