The aim of this master thesis is the development of diagnostic tools by means of the Force Panel (FP) instrument already developed in our laboratory during the VERITAS project. This work will regard a new EU project called NoTremor that will start in january 2014.
NoTremor aims to provide patient specific computational models of the coupled brain and neuromuscular systems that will be used to improve the quality of analysis, prediction and progression of Parkinson’s disease.
Hereafter a wide sketch of NoTremor. The thesis will focus on the “Parameter fitting block”. In particular the thesis work will consist in developing computerized tasks with the FP able to reveal the effect of the desease on human dexterity, build models of the users interaction with the instrument and identify its related parameters.
